Rommel Faustino’s paintings and drawings emerge from the belief that clarity in life is not a starting point, but a revelation earned through experience. In his work, light—the symbol of understanding—arises only after one has wrestled with shadow and the raw textures of existence. “You just have to take it all in,” Faustino says. “There’s always room to grow, because the journey never truly ends.”
Rendered in a palette of lush, passionate hues and balanced with quiet restraint, his compositions capture life unfolding through complexity—a flowering born of both adversity and grace.
Born in the culture-rich tropics of Luzon, Philippines, Faustino now lives and paints in Las Vegas, Nevada, a landscape whose intensity and contrast mirror his artistic spirit. Before devoting himself fully to fine art, he built an award-winning career in product design and holds a degree in Atelier Drawing & Painting from the Sumpter Academy of Art in Portland. He has also studied independently across the United States and Italy.
In 2026, Faustino was named one of 78 international finalists out of more than 400 artists from 50 countries in the NTD International Figure Painting Competition, with his work exhibited at the Salmagundi Art Club Gallery in New York City.
